Association and Communications Events is proud, once again, to be organising the Australian Smart Cards Summit on behalf of Smartcard & Information Security Australia formerly Asia Pacific Smart Card Forum.
The Summit brings together the users and suppliers of smart card technology to discuss critical industry trends, partnerships & alliances, developing standards, new applications, new business opportunities and future direction.
Whether you are a SISA member or non-member – all are welcome. This is a once a year opportunity to meet the entire industry, all together under one roof.
The 2008 summit will examine advances in the use of smart cards in government, banking, transport, retail, telecommunications and health with a special focus on ID management, contactless cards, secure payments, fraud management, information security, biometrics … and models for convergence.
New in 2008: At the request of financial institutions, retailers, transport companies and telecoms/utilities, we have added a full third day dedicated to SECURE PAYMENTS. This separately bookable conference day will cover innovation and best practice in payment systems, including how new reforms and technology are affecting the payments industry.
Local and international speakers will share useful, up-to-date and practical information with the audience who will be encouraged to ask questions and join in on the panel session debates. The Summit will also feature a technology showcase/exhibition area, where delegates will get the opportunity to examine new products and meet suppliers face-to-face.
